Yoga and a fully plant-based kitchen under one roof: what to expect from a vegan yoga retreat at Curolla, in the centre of Mallorca.

Yoga and vegan food under one roof
For many people, a yoga retreat is also a chance to rethink how they eat. At Curolla, yoga and plant-based food were never two separate offers: the hotel was born “by the mission of better eating, by the vision of better living”, and both ideas shape how we look after our guests.
Curolla is a healthy hotel in a manor house from before 1840, in Maria de la Salut, in the centre of Mallorca. Retreats are led by independent teachers in our bright yoga room, while our kitchen takes care of the food.
What “vegan” means here
- Breakfast is 100% vegan, with homemade recipes, fresh juices, bowls, bread and plenty of seasonal fruit
- Everything we can make in house, we do: from granola to cakes
- Seasonal produce comes first, so the menu changes with the year
You don’t need to be vegan to enjoy it. Many guests come for the yoga and leave with a few new recipes to try at home.
Why plant-based food suits a retreat
A day with two yoga practices calls for food that is nourishing but light. Simple, plant-based dishes built on vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts and fruit tend to feel good between sessions, and eating together at set times gives the day a calm rhythm. Above all, we believe in making choices that are good for our health, our communities and the planet.
A day on a vegan yoga retreat
Each teacher designs their own programme, but a day often looks like this:
- Morning: yoga or meditation before breakfast
- Breakfast: a long, unhurried vegan breakfast in the garden
- Midday: swim, read, or explore the villages of the Pla de Mallorca
- Afternoon: a second practice or a workshop
- Evening: a quiet dinner and an early night
What the retreat package includes
When a teacher brings a group to Curolla, the package includes charming rooms with vegan breakfast, a non-alcoholic welcome drink, exclusive use of the yoga room and the coworking space, all the props (mats, blocks, bolsters, belts, cushions and blankets) and water during classes. Groups range from 8 to 16 students.
